Emily is a communications specialist, natural farmer, and textile artisan based in Puerto Rico. She is passionate about local food and fiber systems, growing food organically, and making fermented foods. She learned how to farm through the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association apprenticeship program and a Permaculture Design Course at Finca Tierra in Costa Rica. When she’s not farming or writing, she spends her time as a budding artisan; working with natural dyes and fibers and weaving textiles.
