Sarah Coiro

Sarah Coiro is an author for the Center for Food as Medicine. She earned a Bachelors degree in Public Health & Health Policy from the University of Connecticut where her passion for food and nutrition security began. She later earned an MHA in Health Policy & Management from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. From there, she served as the Chief of Staff at NourishedRx, a startup focused on driving health equity through nutrition access and education. She now works on the health plan partnerships side at NourishedRx to encourage plans to adopt Food is Health programs targeting those at the intersection of diet-related illness and social determinants of health.
